Kawasaki Robotics has introduced the new ZD130S series of robots specifically designed to meet modern industrial production and just in time delivery in the handling of pallets, bags, crates and boxes accurately, quickly and with flexibility. The ZD130S is a 4 axes type with a working range of 1,800 x 1,600 x 2,200 mm and a payload of up to 130 kg. It can handle up to 1,800 bags per hour, eliminating the inaccuracy and erratic performance of manual labour.
A variety of hands can be fitted to the robot articulated arm to accommodate handling of different containers, bags and pallets.
Handling systems can be arranged in differing layouts.
Pallets may be positioned side by side or stacked.
From the product supply conveyor, the product can be loaded on to a single pallet, a combination of pallets or via a separate pallet conveyor.
Product can be stacked in basic patterns of column, interlock or pinhole.
The robot control system uses the special teach pendant which allows the operator to program easily the required paths and palletising patterns and also execute the program.
This offers quick setup of the system with basic job program and 57 default palletising patterns.
The robot automatically selects the most suitable pattern when the pallet size data is entered.
During the programming or teaching mode of the pallet location, the robot automatically operates at slow speed.
