Ball rail systems provide smoother operation

Ball rail systems provide smoother operation, enhanced precision and longer working life compared with other low-cost options such as plastics guideways, plain bearings and cam rollers.
The new eLINE products from Bosch Rexroth, enable the use of ball rails in light machinery and simple handling and positioning systems, an attractive and cost-effective option. Developed specifically to meet the needs of simpler applications, inexpensive eLINE ball rails can be mounted on relatively uneven, un-machined surfaces, that makes additional cost savings possible. Bosch Rexroth eLINE ball rail systems provide smoother operation, enhanced precision and greatly extended working life compared with other low-cost options such as plastics guideways, plain bearings and cam rollers.

They have high load capacity, and use of aluminium bodies means they are up to 60% lighter than conventional all-steel ball rail products.

For maximum durability, the aluminium bodies are anodised to provide effective protection against corrosion and the products incorporate wear-resistant hardened steel tracks.

In addition, all eLINE ball rail systems use large diameter balls, a feature which greatly increases their resistance to the damaging effects of dirt and contamination.

The runner blocks are lubricated during manufacture, and consequently require no further lubrication for at least 4,000km of travel.

In many cases this means that additional lubrication is unnecessary during the whole lifetime of the equipment in which the ball rails are used.

For more demanding applications optional lube units are available.

Cost-effective eLINE ball rails from Bosch Rexroth can be supplied in 15, 20 and 25mm sizes with one-piece rail lengths up to 2000mm.

Runner blocks are offered in slim-line and flanged versions.

Fixing dimensions for all types are compatible with many other ball rail products in common use, providing users with the opportunity to save money by switching to economical eLINE ball rails without the need to modify existing designs and equipment.
